Piranah

Woodgrain

Piranah and woodgrain are one off designs created by Zeynep Karaca for Graham & Brown. Piranah is an amazing bright design inspired by tropical fish and birds with delicate feather-like motifs. Woodgrain has an exotic wood veneer feel to it with linear shapes and striped background emphasized by a lightly textured  surface. Both papers are available to buy from Graham & Brown (£25 / roll ) www.grahambrown.com

In this project, Zeynep Karaca’s big fascination with the concept of light, reflections and movement in organic forms found its reality in the shape of walls and installations, creating flexible, adaptable and exciting spaces. Fluidity and continuity of the lines, both in terms of image and form, experimenting with various materials allows her to explore diverse applications for her designs. These installations are intended to create a specific mood in an interior space, while relating not only to contained objects but also to people using that space. The laser-cut panels have the potential of connecting as many as desired together, creating curves and geometric forms covering larger spaces to reflect different atmospheres in each section by the use of imagery and light.

Illustrations created to demonstrate various uses for the designer’s printed and laser-cut wall, floor and screen installations. The panels are made from fabric bonded plywood and cork printed with a combination of silk screen and digital processes.                                                                Zeynep’s Teapot Flowers, exclusively designed for Liberty of London. The teapot prints explore the theme of ‘Britishness’ They are bright, bold and humorous.
Available to buy from: Liberty - Regent Street, London
