ZEYNEP KARACA graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2005 with
an MA in Printed Textiles.
Zeynep’s work is tactile, original, striking and produced to the
highest quality by combining
innovative materials and techniques. Specializing in surface pattern
design, she aspires to explore
the connection between textiles, interiors, fashion and architecture.
Her fascination with the concept of light, reflections and movement
in organic forms combined
with her love of image making, colour and pattern is what influences
her work. She employs a very
personal style of abstraction to her imagery while combining the
element of fun and sophistication
to create a specific mood in an interior space, while relating not
only to contained objects but also
to people using that space.
Zeynep won many awards for her wallpapers and fabrics in the last
couple of years, including:
The Drapers’ Company Textile Award for excellence
in the field of textile design (2005),
Graham & Brown Wallpaper Competition (2004), John Lewis Outdoor
Living Competition (2004)
and Liberty Print Design Competition (2004). |
